Often men are not that vocal and are into sharing their experiences especially when it comes to their best date moments. But apparently, guys remember the good nights just like you do. It could be something as simple as staying in and Netflix-binging or surprising him with a plan you know he’d love. To find out which dates really made a lasting impression, we asked Men’s Health Facebook followers for the details. And surprisingly, these guys were even more sentimental and adorable than we expected:
#1“Best date was at this little microlounge way out of my price range, but I had a gift card so I was able to splurge. We drank some of the most expensive drinks we had ever had and just connected about music and found that we liked a lot of the same artists. Nice conversation with a beautiful lady, and what do you know, we’re still together now four years later. Oh yeah, that gift card never worked and I had to pay out of pocket. I was eating PB&J and ramen for a week after that.” — Asap J.
#2 “Just walking through the city, no dinner plans, no movie plans. Just doing things as you happen upon them. Then finish the night with an ice cream cone and people watching.” —Wes S.
#3 “Took the love of my life on our first date. Just went to the movies. Laughed and connected the whole time. I’ll never forget it.” —Dillon Z.
#4 “Me and my girlfriend were set up by my best friend, her sister, and we ran a 5-K race. I actually came in second place, then we went out to lunch in our sweaty race gear at Panera Bread, I mean how awesome is that! On my way home I knew she was the one for me.” —Todd R.
#5 “The best dates probably were just chillin’ in my truck talking while listening to music and/or drinking beers on the lake talking.” —Matt H.
#6 “Watched fireworks display at the seaside of Manila Bay, Philippines” —Jeremie S.
#7 “I took my girlfriend to this restaurant that I knew was decorated with tons of lights during the holidays. I’d always wanted to share it with someone I loved and now its become our traditional Christmas date every year.” —Stephen S.
#8 “Our best date was a picnic and paint session in the park with pre-jazz music playing on our cellphones. It was my favorite date because it brought back that sort of euro-centric romanticism that you see in movies” —Jose N.
#9 “My favorite date was when my girlfriend took me to see Tony Bennett in concert because he’s was the last of the legends I would ever see. From Dean Martin to Sinatra, I finally saw one of the greats.” —Andy B.
